Peaceful Transition Inc. has been a part of Barrie and the surrounding community since 1995. In that time, we have grown to become an easy alternative to the traditional full-service funeral homes. We provide simple options for cremation and burial at a fraction of the cost.
There are two types of funeral establishments governed by the Board of Funeral Service in Ontario, Full Service Funeral Homes and Transfer Services. While Peaceful Transition Inc. is classified as a Transfer Service, we provide almost all of the same services as a funeral home without the need of their involvement and at a much lower cost.
We specialize in keeping things simple which means no extras or added costs and personalized care, respect and service for both the deceased and your family. Our purpose is not to pressure you into purchases that you don’t require.
Tara Stamp, Managing Funeral Director
Tara has been with Peaceful Transition Inc. since 2006 and has recently taken over ownership of the company. Tara is a fully licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with the Province of Ontario and trained with one of the best Funeral Homes for structure and service in our Province. Tara has two daughters and currently resides in Barrie after a move from Creemore where she was born and raised.
"Upon returning to this area from Toronto, it became increasingly difficult to secure employment as a Funeral Director so fortunately, when the opportunity to work as the Manager of Peaceful Transition Inc. arose, I couldn’t have been more happy. It was a blessing for me to be able to take over ownership. This will ensure that the quality and level of service that I feel should be provided for the families will be met.
It really has become about helping people through one of the most difficult times of their lives by providing the assistance, dignity and respect deserved by both the deceased and their families. Being able to offer an alternative option to the full service Funeral Home has become a proud focus of our business. Our main objective continues to be an economical but very thorough alternative to Cremation and Burial Services with the idea of keeping the stress of the formalities off those who are taking care of details, in turn, allowing them to take the time to Celebrate the Life of their loved one."
