Plaunt, Bonnie
Surrounded by love she passed away peacefully May 15th after a courageous second battle with Cancer. At Hospice Simcoe in true Bonnie fashion, she waited until the perfect moment. It was exactly the way she wanted with Bob holding her hand and Rick watching over her.
Loving partner and best friend to Bob Hinde for 18 wonderful years. Her true knight in shining armour. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten by her children Kevin (Danielle), Ryan (Joanna), Eric and step children Theresa and Jamie. Proud grandmother of Dominic, Dayton, Kelsey-Anne, Isabelle and Cole. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of her brother Rick, extended family and friends.
Bonnie retired from Hydro One after 33 wonderful and dedicated years. She was the Team mother to TNT express football, she also enjoyed her dragon boat team, her golf ladies and volunteering at the food bank.
Celebration of Bonnie’s life will take place at Mel Mitchell Field Saturday May 23rd at 11 am. A service will begin at 12pm. The family has asked for everyone to please wear coloured clothing, preferably pink, to help with truly celebrating her life.
Donations may be made in Bonnie’s memory to Hospice Simcoe, Barrie www.hospicesimcoe.ca
Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts. Our love for her will live on in our memories.

Posted on: Wednesday, May 20, 2015Although we did not have the privilege of knowing Bonnie – through her sister-in-law, Helen – we have gained an insight into a bit of her life and how much she was thought of. It is amazing to see that she had such a good influence on so many young people and the respect shown to her by them.
She put up a valiant fight for as long as she could. To all those she left behind to mourn her loss we offer our sincere sympathy. Wish we could give you all hugs.

Posted on: Thursday, May 21, 2015Our thoughts and prayers are with Bonnie’s family at this time. Thank you for sharing her with us, she was an amazing volunteer and friend with the food bank always willing to do the extra. We always knew Bonnie was in the food bank as you could hear her boisterous voice and laughter travel throughout the building. A Wednesday afternoon shopper, an envelop stuffer, filing expert and a sponsor for our Christmas Adoption program. She was a friend and a very special member of our family. She will be missed. God Bless Bonnie.

Posted on: Thursday, May 21, 2015My deepest sympathy to Bonnie’s family. I met Bonnie when she came as a temporary instructor to the T&D Dept. in Orangeville, part of the Ontario Hydro family. She was a great lady and I’ll remember her laughter.

Posted on: Saturday, May 23, 2015My thoughts and prayers go out to Bonnie’s family we have lost a very special person with a huge heart always doing for others. As a teammate on Bonnie’s dragon boat team I will always remember that Bonnie (and Judy) offered to drive me to my first festival in Parry Sound; as you can imagine I learned a lot on that trip; that is one of the memories I will remember forever. I along with the Ribbons team will miss you Bonnie but you’ll never be forgotten. May you rest in peace
