Joseph Gerald Martin
Passed away December 1, 2015, at his home in Barrie, ON
Gerald was born February 18, 1932, in Rivière-du-Loup, QC. He joined the Air force as a young man and served for over 10 years.
Gerald married his wife Jenny Martin on June 20th, 1953 with whom he enjoyed over 60 years of marriage.
He was an active member of the St. Johns Ambulance his whole life and received an award for outstanding service from the governor general for over 5000 hours’ service.
His interests included family, golfing, skiing, the cottage, his dog, and reading.
Gerald worked hard all his life at a variety of jobs providing for his family. He was a good and caring man who is survived by his wife Jenny, sons Russell, Ken, Ben, Keith, and daughters Karen and Debbie along with 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A proud father, and accomplished individual, he will be missed by all.
Service to be held at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 4th 2015
