Kay, Robert Edmund "Bob"
Passed away peacefully on Thursday April 14 2016 at RVH in Barrie surrounded by loving family. He was in his 77th year. Bob was predeceased by his wife Jessie (d.2015). He was a loving and supportive father to Kim, Leigh, Shauna and Doug (d.1983). Predeceased by sister Carol (d.1996) A much cherished Papa to Kayla, Jake, Brianne, Tyler and Kyran and a loved Uncle to Michelle, David, Danielle, Mark, Jack and Emily. Beloved brother-in-law to Susan and Michael Ota. A dear friend to Bill, Jake and many others.
Most of Bob's working career was as owner/operator of R/K Contracting out of Innisfil, Essa and Barrie. As hard working as he was there was always time for FISHING! His favorite place to fish always was Eagle Lake, the same lake he taught his children to fish on. Bob was a supportive and loving Dad to his 3 daughters and the best Papa ever to his grandchildren. He tried hard to pass along the knowledge and skills he had acquired during a lifetime of hard work. A devoted and loyal friend, Bob lived his life with honor and integrity in all his dealings. Anyone who ever met him would remember his nonstop wit and one liners. They will also remember his need to be completely organized and how much he worried about everyone. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered, he touched more lives than he realized.
Celebration of life to be held on Saturday, June 11 2016, 3:00 pm at the ANAF, Starlight Room, 7 George Street, Barrie, ON L4N 5G8
