Jeff and family, the last time I saw your mom was on the trails at Ardagh Bluffs in Barrie. She was in her element; laughing and hiking with a group of friends in the woods. We exchanged greetings, and went on our merry way.
    My sincerest condolences.

Jeff, Mark, Kevin and Kristen ~ my heart breaks along with you all. So much of my life has your Mom in it! From looking after me as a child, as a mentor when I was in school to being my husband’s Dr’s nurse….which is when she finally convinced me to call her Gerda and not Mrs. Halliday! Her genuine, kind, sweet ways always were displayed in her beautiful smile. May you all fill your hearts and find support with the love so many have for your Mom.

I was so very saddened to read of Gerda’s death. We were neighbours in Midhurst. She at the corner of Spence and Malta and my family on Malta at the base of the crescent. Kristen played with my daughter Rachel. Gerda came to our house shortly after midnight one Sunday night to stay with my girls while my husband and went to the hospital to welcome our son. She was beyond excited as she came through the door. She and I always complained together that we could never find the time to put our photos into albums

Gerda was a lovely lady and I enjoyed our time together.

To all her family, my heartfelt condolences.
