Margaret Anna Montague

Margaret Anna Montague (Fedchenko), aged 68, passed away peacefully from Alzheimer’s on August 1, 2025 at Georgian Bay Seniors Lodge in Penetanguishene, Ontario.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 15 years, Lorne Ian Montague. Margaret is lovingly remembered by her Son Michael Imre of Hamilton, Sister Marina Fedchenko and her stepson Mark Montague (Susan), whose devoted support through regular visits, health monitoring and heartfelt companionship brought comfort and warmth to her final years.

Fondly known as “GM”, Grandma Marg will be deeply missed by her grandsons Harris and Duncan Montague and their partners Brianne and Brittany. Many favourite and cherished memories were created while camping in Northern Ontario and spending time at Gramps and GM’s home.

Margaret found joy in baking, playing cribbage and board games, knitting and tending to her flower gardens. She was a devoted dog mum to many “fur kid” canines over the years.

Her gentle spirit, thoughtful nature and kind smile touched the lives of many. Marg’s life was a testament to resilience, fortitude and hard work.

In memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society Simcoe County (www.secure.alzheimeron.ca) or planting a perennial flower such as a Purple Cone Flower or Black Eyed Susan would be deeply appreciated.
