It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Marlene Lacey, age 83, who passed away peacefully at home in Barrie on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Beloved wife of the late Roger Lacey. Cherished mother of Cole Anderson of Barrie and Dawn Anderson of Barrie, and step-mother to Karen Branford of Owen Sound and Amber Lacey of Meaford. Proud grandmother of Nicole Forzari of Barrie.
Ann was the dear sister of Maureen Hogetts, and was predeceased by her brothers Colin Lewin and Charlie Lewin. She was the loving daughter of the late Maurice and Genevieve Lewin. She will also be fondly remembered by Randy and Mona Lacey of Illinois, USA, along with the extended Lacey family.
Born on October 29, 1941, in Collingwood, ON, Ann spent much of her life in Collingwood. She worked faithfully at the Goodyear Hoseplant and, following her retirement, found great joy in gardening.
In keeping with her wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Ann’s memory.

Posted on: Wednesday, September 17, 2025I was so saddened to hear of Ann’s passing. She was always so welcoming and had a wonderful way of bringing calm reason to every conversation. I’ll always remember the laughter we shared and the thoughtful talks on whatever was on our minds.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
With sympathy, Mark
