Lynda Jane Trueman

Lynda Jane Trueman, age 69, passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Saturday May 2, 2026.

Survivors include her husband Dave Hammers, daughters Jennifer Coté (Stephen) and Shannon Trueman (Andrew), brothers Dave Croney and Bruce Fountain, and sister Edie Fountain.

Lynda has been reunited with her mother Ethel and best (four-legged) friend, Chucaro – her “Big Pup”.

Born September 23, 1956, she lived in Barrie, Snow Valley, and Edgar and worked for Radio Shack / The Source for almost 40 years until retiring.

Lynda was a member of many groups including the Ontario Equestrian Federation, Gaited Horse Group of Ontario, and Paso Fino Horse Association. She frequently attended local fairs and was a supporter of (and most often a photographer at) both the Barrie Fair and Coldwater Fall Fair Miniature Horse Shows.

Interment will be at Midhurst Union Cemetery, 1444 St Vincent St Midhurst, Ontario. In accordance with her wishes, no service will take place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
