James “Jim” Edward Bannerman

Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on June 8, 2026, at the age of 86.

Son of the late James and Margaret Bannerman.  Beloved wife of Marjorie “Marj” (nee Ebertt).  Loving father of Brenda, David (Deb), Mark, and Todd (Tracey).  Proud grandfather of Kaitlyn, Cody, Mitchell, and Emily.  Dear brother of Bryan (Linda), and is pre-deceased by his sister Lorraine, brother-in-law Earl, brother Douglas, and sister-in-law Mercedes.  Jim will be remembered also by nieces and nephews.

A quiet and hardworking man, Jim dedicated his career to the plumbing trade and took great pride in passing his knowledge and skills on to his sons, who followed in his footsteps as plumbers.  He was a former member of OPSEU Local 599.

In his younger years, Jim enjoyed golfing and fishing.  He was a sports fan who liked to watch hockey (cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs), baseball, and football.  He also enjoyed the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.

In keeping with Jim's wishes, there will be no funeral service or Celebration of Life.
