Josephine Grace Cunningham

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Josephine Grace Cunningham, who passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, surrounded by love and light.

Josephine will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted husband, Bill Cunningham; her loving daughters, Suzette Hamilton (Husband Jason Hamilton), Michelle Cunningham (her partner Aaron Slomka), and Angela Cunningham.  Her grandchildren Caiden Bergie (his partner Mackensie Fillier), and Kale Bergie (his partner Tianna Wright), Shyene Hamilton (her partner Will Cowen), Mallory Hamilton; and Great granddaughter Stella Cowen.  Her love, kindness, strength, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She found joy in the simple things in life — time spent with family, sharing laughter, creating memories, and offering love and support to those around her.  She had a caring heart and a quiet strength that remained with her throughout her life.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace.  Her love and the memories she created will remain with us always and continue to guide us each and every day.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at RVH hospital who cared for her with such compassion and dignity during her final days.

We will have a Celebration of Life in the near future and ask that if anyone wants to donate to the Alzheimer's Society please feel free to do so in Josephine's name.
