Helen Avis Muriel Baker

Passed away on July 2, 2026 at the age of 84 years.

Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Jan and Helen.  She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas "Tom" Baker, and her partner, Kirk Smith.  Loving mother of Shannon (Dave), and the late Danny.  Proud nana to Courtney, Makenzie, Shane, Avy, and Rhyan; and great-nana to Nathan, and Daniella.  She is survived by her siblings Lillian and Hart, and was predeceased by her brothers Arend and John.

Helen was someone who simply enjoyed life.  She liked to have a good time, and she and her family often laughed about how perfectly that simple statement described her.  In her younger years, she enjoyed playing Crazy Canasta with family and friends.  Later in life, she found great enjoyment in working on puzzles. But, above all else, the most important and most cherished thing to her was her family.  She would put family first and do anything she could for them.

A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held at a later date.
