Jack Douglas Hopper of Barrie, Ontario, passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2026, at the age of 60 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Jack will be deeply missed by his loving partner, Alison Moravek, who shared many happy years with him. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister Lisa (John), his nephews Scott, and Tyler, and his great-nephew Remington, and his great-niece, Georgiana.
He is now reunited with his mother Martha, and his faithful four-legged friend Lucky.
Jack dedicated 30 Years of his career to Bardon Supplies, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those he worked alongside.
He truly lived life on his own terms and enjoyed every moment. Whether he was cheering on the Montreal Canadiens or the New York Yankees, relaxing at his trailer, spending time with his beloved dog Riley, or listening to his favourite music – from Motörhead to Eric Church and everything in between – Jack embraced the things that brought him joy. His easygoing nature, sense of humour, and loyal friendship touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Jack is no longer suffering and is now at peace.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at a later date. The family will share details when they become available.
Memories and messages of condolence may be left below.

Posted on: Monday, July 6, 2026I don’t even know how to start this.
My heart is broken.
My Uncle Jack wasn’t just my uncle he was one of my best friends. He was the kind of uncle every kid dreams of having. He was the guy who made life fun, who always had time for me, who made memories I’ll never forget.
Some of the best days of my life were with you. Going to SARSFest, seeing Disturbed, Metallica, Motörhead, and so many other concerts together… those weren’t just shows. They were moments I’ll carry with me forever. We laughed, we rocked out, and we lived. Those are memories no one can ever take away from me.
You were a huge part of why I love music the way I do. You taught me that life isn’t just about working—it’s about making memories and enjoying the people you’re with.
I’ve always looked up to you. In so many ways, you’ve been the example I’ve tried to follow. I always hoped I could be the kind of uncle to my nieces and nephews that you were to me.
It hurts knowing you’re gone. It all happened so fast. I’m thankful you’re not suffering anymore, but that doesn’t make missing you any easier. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye.
I already miss your laugh, your stories, your sarcasm, and just knowing you were there.
I love you, Uncle Jack. Thank you for everything you’ve given me, for every memory, every concert, every laugh, and for being exactly who you were.
I hope you’re finally at peace. Give Nana a hug for me. and I hope Lucky was there waiting for you with that tail wagging.
Until we meet again.
Love you always. ❤️

Posted on: Monday, July 6, 2026I am in shock. I have no words. This is the worst kind of news to hear always, but I have just heard the news. I will be in touch. No fancy words come to my mind right now, that’s for sure. But I can say that I am so sad…so very sad. What the heck??? It is just not fair in any way! For any one of you, or for those who knew Jack for a long time.
