Rita Antonietta D’Orazio

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rita Antonietta D’Orazio, 87, of Barrie, Ontario, on September 16, 2026.

Born in Pescara, Italy, on January 17, 1939.

She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Tonino D’Orazio, and her daughter, Tiziana D’Orazio.

Rita was the beloved mother of Nick D’Orazio (Diana D'Orazio), Tiziana D’Orazio, and Vaina Dorazio (Enzo Dorazio).

She was a cherished grandmother to Rachelle Gravina (Joseph Gravina), Nicolas D'Orazio, Marco D'Orazio and Matteo D'Orazio. Bobby Gianitsopulos and Tommy Gianitsopulos. Lou D’Orazio (Patricia Chirichella) and Danielle D'Orazio.

Rita was also a loving great-grandmother to Vince and Juliana, Alyssa, Isabella, Sofia and Emma.

Rita was the heart of our family and a beloved matriarch whose love, strength and devotion brought generations together. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of loving her.

May she rest peacefully and live forever in our hearts.
