Tara Christie Stamp

January 4, 1976 - October 1, 2026

Funeral Details:

Passed away suddenly at the home of her parents, Garry and Colleen, in Creemore, Ontario. She is survived by her children Heath Christoffersen (Cosmo) & Hannah Stamp-Van Severen, her siblings Sabrina Stamp Dupuis (Marc), Jason Stamp, & Amy Stamp Ranger (Jon), her niece and nephews Chancellor, Anson, Dresdon, Mirabella, and Walker, grandmother Lois, and her aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tara will be remembered for her determination, work ethic, and care for others. As a kid, she began her career by doing autopsies on frogs before graduating from Humber College to pursue her lifelong dream of being a Funeral Director. The owner of Peaceful Transition in Barrie for years, Tara transformed the funeral industry and helped many families navigate their own grief. She then spent time in Yuma, Arizona, before settling on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, where she loved the weather and being close to the ocean.

Tara was a deeply kind, authentic soul who will be greatly missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Creemore Firefighters’ Association by contacting Ed Van Severen at creemoreffa@gmail.com or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada

The family would also like to thank Peaceful Transition for all of the care and compassion.

And since you’re all wondering… she died of coronary artery disease which caused a massive heart attack (don’t start smoking, kids)!

Memories, tributes and stories may be shared with the family below.
