Richard “Richie” Kristofer Raymond Burgie

May 14, 1981 – October 25, 2026

Richard Kristofer Raymond Burgie passed away on October 25, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly and will miss him beyond words.

Richard was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve.  He had a generous spirit and a heart full of love, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  Above all else, Richard loved his family more than anything in the world.

Richard was a proud father to his four daughters, Destiny (Kyle), Desiree (Tamar), Daniela (Carter), and Devyn, who will carry his love with them always.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Deborah Burgie, and was predeceased by his father, William Burgie.  Richard will be deeply missed by his siblings, Crystal (Ryan), Tiffany (Alex), Scott (Charlotte), and Chelsea (Nohlan), as well as his eight nieces and nephews.

Richard will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends, but also by his community at The Loft, where he leaves behind lasting memories and connections.

Though his time here was far too short, the love Richard gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will forever be loved, remembered, and deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 at Room 22 (Dunlop Street Diner), located at 20 Dunlop St. E., Barrie ON at 4:30 pm.  Street Parking is limited.  There is underground parking garage located at 27 Collier St.  We kindly ask that this be an adult only service.  Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.

We Love you Richard
