In Loving Memory of Sharon Marie Butler (née Flear) who passed away in hospital after complications from surgery, on Saturday October 24, 2026, a month after turning 72.
Sharon was born September 25, 1954 to Karl and Marie Flear (both predeceased). Sharon is also predeceased by her sister Vicky Henderson (Flear) and brother Brian Flear.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Bob of 45 years, and her son Devon, who devoted his time and love to care for her every day. Sharon is predeceased by her son BJ (Robert James) Butler. Sharon will also be missed by her daughter-in-law Julie, and by her two granddaughters MacKenzie and Keira.
She will be missed by extended families, Anne Marie Mills (Steve), Kim Fleet, Vicki Cummings, niece Christine (Andrew) and their son Jacob, and nephew Terry Bujold (Jennifer) along with many other nieces and nephews.
Sharon was a long-time employee of Radio Shack where she formed many wonderful friendships. She went on to work for Barrie housing where she worked for eighteen years helping those in her community before retiring.
Sharon was always the first person to help anyone in need. Her care, compassion and love for her community lead to her volunteering at the Barrie Food Bank where she was well liked and respected by both staff and those in need.
Bob and Devon would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rask, Dr. Haqqi, Dr. Burt and their staff for all their support at the Barrie RVH. They would again like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cohen, Dr. Hallet and Dr. Ahmed at Sunnybrook Hospital and their wonderful staff and compassion at this time of need.
At Sharon’s request there will not be a funeral service or celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barrie Food Bank if desired, or charity of your choice.
Sharon will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
