Catherine Elizabeth Roussell

Passed away peacefully on November 5, 2026, at the age of 85 years.

Beloved mother of Terry Lynn (Gordon) and Blake.  Cherished grandmother of Raven, Rain (Zach), Spencer, and Ryland.  Dear sister of Ern (Cathy), and the late Albert, Loreen, Marilyn, and Barb.  Catherine will also be lovingly remembered by her close friend, Dianne (Bob).

Catherine was a kind, friendly, and easy-going woman whose independent spirit served her well throughout her life.  Though she could be stubborn at times, those who knew her understood that it was simply part of her strength and determination.  She was proud of her roots as a Maritimer and will also be missed by the many nieces and nephews who called her Aunt Cass.

She proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the 1960s before dedicating herself to raising her family.  Later, she continued her career for many years with the telecommunications reserves earning the rank of Lieutenant.  After her retirement she took on the role of Nanny to her grandchildren, who loved her dearly.

Catherine had a special love for cats and will be dearly missed by her furry calico companion, Callie.

A Celebration of Catherine's Life will be held at a later date down home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe or to the Ontario SPCA.
