Agnes “Aggie” Marguerite Fearon (O’Hara), a woman of boundless energy and indomitable spirit, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, at Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia, Ontario. She was 99 years young, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Born in Toronto on August 9, 1926, Aggie grew up with a zest for life that never faded. She was a fixture of hard work and grit, serving others as a waitress for most of her life—a career she proudly maintained until the age of 85. Agnes spent the last 50 years of her life in the Barrie and surrounding area and her winters in Florida. Always one to embrace a new challenge, Aggie returned to school later in life to follow her passion for beauty, earning her license to become a hairstylist.
Aggie took immense pride in her appearance and was the epitome of femininity. Whether she was heading to work or a family gathering, she was always impeccably put-together, believing that putting your best foot forward was a reflection of self-respect.
Aggie was a "no-nonsense" woman who lived by a simple, powerful motto: “You can have anything you want in life, you just have to work hard and want it enough.” She modeled this independence and individuality every day, becoming a particular inspiration to the younger generations. She had a rare gift for total acceptance, embracing people exactly as they were and whomever they chose to love.
She was a woman in constant motion. Whether she was dancing, roller skating, or letting out a triumphant yell at the Bingo Hall, her energy was infectious. Even in her final days, Aggie’s silly sense of humor remained intact, continuing to entertain, surprise, and bring laughter to those around her. Above all, she prioritized her health and her family.
Aggie was preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Stone, May Vano, and Charles O’Hara; her son, Vincent Fearon Jr.; and her granddaughter, Meagan.
Her legacy lives on through her children: Ronald Lauria (Janice), Melville Lauria, and Louise Fearon (Roy). She is the cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Lindsay, Candace, Kristopher, Blair, and Danielle, and a proud great-grandmother and friend to many.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mariposa House Hospice (1140 Brodie Dr, Severn, ON, L3V 0V2), whose team provided such compassionate care in her final days.
Aggie will be deeply missed, but her "positive attitude" and the lessons she taught us about hard work, elegance, and love will never be forgotten.
