With her daughters by her side, Barbara Dutton passed away on August 5, 2025, at Hospice Georgian Triangle (Campbell House) in Collingwood. She was 85.
Barbara was a proud Liverpudlian who met and married fellow scouser, Wilf, in 1962. They started their family soon after.
In 1966, they immigrated to Canada, spending many happy years in Brampton. In 2003, Barbara and Wilf moved to Sandy Cove Acres in Innisfil to spend their retirement years.
Barbara wore many hats, these included Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Her favourite hat was Grandmother. She enjoyed being involved in her grandchildren’s lives and was proud of all of them.
Barbara will be missed by her many friends and family members. Feeling the ache of her absence are her daughters Susan (Ron) and Debbie (Jeff). She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren Joshua (Christina), Amanda, Kaitlyn (Dan), Ashlyn (Anthony), Brandon and Damian. She leaves behind a legacy of 11 great grandchildren.
Barbara was a shining light to all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her glow continues to be felt by everyone.
Barbara requested to be cremated and her ashes will be interred with her husband, Wilf, at a private family gathering in the future.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Hudson Regional Cancer Centre at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, or the hospice of your choice.
