Aunt Bea was always such a cheerful person. Had a huge smile the minute we walked in the door. She would often say “come on in good look’in! Or when we asked her if she liked something, she’d say “what’s not to like?” Even though she was (apparently?) lactose intolerant she had room for ice cream and loved going to Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream in Barrie. We would sit & enjoy a cone, then get her a bucket to take home. Later in the evening when I called to see how she was, she’d be smacking her lips as she finished up a dish of ice cream. She had an amazing appetite and was always eating … I used to tease her about having a tape worm! She was an incredibly positive person …. a wonderful influence on others. She was my Mom’s (Mamie) favourite sister …. towards the end when I visited her, her eyes would light up when I entered the room, she was so glad to see Mamie. During our last visit she did not seem to know me and was sleepy. At one point she woke up and said “So what’s new Aubrey” She will be missed more than one can say. Sending love and hugs to her family as they deal with the loss of such an amazing mother.  Love Sherry, Aubrey & Leah

Very sad to hear of aunt Bea’s passing. I have fond, fond memories of our many trips to Toronto for family visits, always looking forward to them, and always having a great time. Even though I’ve resided in western Canada for the bulk of my life since moving, the memories are vivid and every visit was special when we could catch up with our cousins, and listen to Norm and Bea’s story telling.  It made many marvelous impressions on a young guy and a genuine appreciative impression of the family atmosphere we all enjoyed.  RIP Aunt Bea. Love you, Rick
