Bette Maurino

On February 9^th 2024, Bette Maurino died at Victoria Village Manor in Barrie, just weeks after her 77^th birthday.  She passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter.

Born in Newmarket, Ontario, Bette lived a long and full life mostly in the Barrie, Ontario area.  She dearly loved her children Richard, Mark, Neal (deceased) and Dennise, and her grandchildren Brooklyn and John.  Bette was fortunate enough to leave the work force early enough that she was able to enjoy many of her golden years, spending her time between Barrie and Florida.

For the final 15+ years of her life, Bette was inflicted with Frontotemporal Dementia, an insidious degenerative disease that ultimately took her life.  Despite suffering from the widely misunderstood behavioral variant of this dementia, Bette persevered with the same strength, determination, and sense of humour she was known for.

There will be no funeral service, and a celebration of life will be determined at a later date
