David Willerton passed away surrounded by love on January 28th, 2026, at Hospice Simcoe. David joins his wife June and his parents Mollie and Frank. Beloved brother to Jane, loving father of Clare (Gareth) and Stephanie. Grandad of four, great grandad of one.
David was born in York, England in 1948 and immigrated to Canada in 1975 with his wife, June, and their children. Eventually buying a home in Barrie and beginning building a life there. David was an excellent and passionate mechanic using his skills well into retirement restoring vintage motorbikes and helping friends.
Previously a member of the Vintage Road Racing Association (VRRA), he was especially proud of his championship win with his father watching him cross the finish line. Long standing member of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (CVMG). Many thanks to his friends from the CVMG for all their visits while David was at Hospice.
The family would like to thank Sunnybrook Hospital, RVH and Hospice Simcoe for their exceptional care. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice Simcoe
