Deborah Ann Mary Amyot (née Kennedy)

April 16, 1956 - February 4, 2026

Funeral Details: A celebration of life will be held in the Summer of 2026 in Barrie, Ontario.

It is with great sadness that the family of Deborah Ann Mary Amyot (née Kennedy) announce her sudden passing on February 4, in her 70th year. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Walter, with whom she shared 56 years together and nearly 50 years of marriage, and her daughter, April (Dan). She is predeceased by her mother, Julie; her father, John Charles; and her stepfather, Fred, as well as her brother, Larry, and her son, Wayne. She is survived by her brother, Chuck (Judy); her loving grandchildren, Brandon (Jase), Lucas, Rusty, Charlie, Daniel, Ashta, Izzy, and Lincoln; and her great-grandchild, Barb.

Those who knew Deb knew she was spirited. She was a storyteller and imaginative writer, a baker and singer, and a devoted caregiver. Even through many years of health challenges, she never stopped dreaming, as the iconic Man of La Mancha anthem goes, the impossible dream of a better, more just world. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be held in the Summer of 2026 in Barrie, Ontario. Those wishing to be present to honour Deb may contact brandon.amyot7@gmail.com for further details.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to CMHA Simcoe County www.cmhastarttalking.ca or the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation www.rvhkeeplifewild.ca
