Funeral Details: Private family arrangements

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of an incredible woman, Diana Kilpatrick.  Diana passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on May 22nd, 2025, at the age of 83.  Diana is predeceased by her father and mother, Vince and Betty, and her beloved big brother, Vince (Judy).  Diana remained a devoted wife to Grant for 66 years.  Diana will be deeply missed by her children, David and Susan, and her son-in-law, Joe.  Diana remained a loving grandmother to Katie, Matt (Christina), and Jenn (Justin), great-grandmother to Tristan and Amelia, aunt to Vince (Anna), and great-aunt to Vince and Michael.

Diana lived an extraordinary life, with many adventures.  Diana and Grant loved to travel together, spending many years as “Snow Birds” down in Florida and Arizona.  One of Diana’s favourite places in the world was Italy, and she often described it as a place that felt like “home”.  Diana was an incredible cook, with a great passion for food and family get togethers around the dinner table.  Diana was a kind and compassionate woman whose love knew no bounds, especially when it came to family and all of her 4-legged babies.  No words can express how deeply she will be missed and how grateful we are for her love and devotion.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local OSPCA in memory of Diana.  As an animal lover, we know how much this would mean to her.

    Katie and Kilpatrick family,

I was heartbroken to hear about the passing of your beloved grandmother, Diana. Please know that my heart is with you all during this incredibly difficult time.

Diana was such a special soul —warm, generous, and endlessly loving. It was clear to everyone how deeply she cared for her family. The way she was always there for Tristan, whether for sleepovers or dinners, spoke volumes about her devotion and the strong bonds she built with each of you. She didn’t just support her family, she nurtured it, in the truest sense.

Her presence was a gift, not just to your family but to everyone lucky enough to know her. She made people feel at home, seen, and cared for—going above and beyond in the quiet, beautiful ways that leave a lasting mark.

Please know that my thoughts are with you, and I’m holding you all in my heart as you navigate this heartbreaking loss. I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared with her and in the love she so freely gave. Her spirit lives on in each of you.

With all my love and deepest sympathy,

    Melissa Tonn

I truly don’t know where to begin. Diana was my Favourite client from the moment she walked into Eaton’s travel all those many years ago. Lord knows it took a long time to get that first trip booked to Puerto Vallarta! In the process I gained a wonderful friend! Our trip to the World’s Figure Skating in Vancouver was Incredible! Thank you Grant for letting me go! My heart goes out to Grant, Susan and Jenn all of Diana’s family during this difficult time. Diana was a force and I was incredibly blessed to have her in my life!! Hugs to all!
