It is with a very heavy heart that Sandra (Sandy) Biggs announces the passing of her best friend.
On December 3, 2025, Doug passed away suddenly but peacefully with his wife Sandy and two of his daughters, Amanda and Nichole, by his side. He was surrounded by love.
Doug’s life was challenging in the last years; but he faced his many health issues with strength, laughter and always with his best friend by his side.
He will be remembered forever by his loving wife and life partner Sandy; who will miss him, remember him and love him. Always.
He is survived by his daughters Amanda and Nichole (Charlie, Dylan and Hendriks), Rachel (Jack and Carter), Emily (Martin and Claire) and Sarah (Andrew).
Doug is now on his journey to meet his beloved fur sons Tucker, Gibbs and Beau across the rainbow bridge. He leaves behind his fur buddies Bruce and Tally to take care of Sandy.
As a passionate dog lover, donations can be made in his honour to “Team Chelsea Lost Pet Search Group” (Facebook) or a Pet Adoption Group of your choice.
The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses of Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care in his final days. In addition, they have so much gratitude to the many friends of Doug that made his final year a bucket list complete. And whom have continued to support Sandy through his passing; thank you for your love, support and for the memories.
