Funeral Details: Private Family Arrangements

With deep love and gratitude, the family of Eva June Bell announces her peaceful passing on November 20, 2025, at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario. She was 96 years old.

Born and raised in Toronto, Eva made her home there for nearly nine decades.  In her later years, she moved to Craighurst, Ontario, where she spent her final and cherished time living with her daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Pat.

Eva worked proudly until the age of 75, finding joy, purpose, and friendship throughout her long career at Woodgreen Drugs on Queen Street.  Known for her independence and lively spirit, Eva loved an unplanned adventure.  After finishing a shift on a Friday, she might hop on a bus to Niagara Falls, spend a weekend at Casino Rama, or cross into Buffalo for shopping and excitement.

In her younger years, her love of travel carried her to Florida and the Bahamas, and she delighted in a trip around the world with her beloved aunt and uncle — a memory she spoke of often and fondly.

A woman of strength, humour, and remarkable resilience, Eva outlived three of her four children.  She is predeceased by Bonnie, Diane, and Billy, and is survived by her son Jimmy.

She leaves behind a beautiful and lasting legacy: eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each carrying forward her stories, spirit, and spark.

Cremation has taken place, as per her wishes.  There will be no service or gathering.

Eva will be remembered for her spontaneity, her wit, and her enduring love for life — from her travels to her quiet days in Craighurst.  Her family takes comfort in knowing she has begun her peaceful journey, reunited with those she deeply missed.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Place unit at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre for their thoughtful care, kindness, and support during Eva’s final days.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
