Funeral Details: Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the age of 80, Everett Raymond Sampson of Barrie, Ontario, passed away at RVH and was promoted to glory.

Loving husband of 60 years, Frances (nee: Hiscock). Loving dad to his daughters Tracey Paul (Christopher) and Roxane Sampson. Loving grandfather to his grandchildren Nathan Keller, Steven Resendes (Sarah) and Grace Kobre. Loving great-grandfather to Weston and Meadow.  Everett is survived by his sister Florence Wiseman (Kitchener), Everett will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Chesley and Emma Sampson, son Terry and sisters, Frances Deeton (Walter), Emma Vincent (Al) and sister-in-law’s, Marie Tucker (Willis), Margaret Ford (Joseph) and Olivia Coffin (Louie).

Born May 11, 1945, Grand Bank, Newfoundland, Everett moved to Ontario in 1965 and in 1995 moved to Barrie, Ontario. Everett has been a longtime member of the Barrie Salvation Army Church.  He had a natural aptitude for music which allowed him to self-learn a variety of instruments and he put his talent to use in the church band.  Through the years he has always enjoyed get-togethers where he could join in and assist with the music.  After retiring in 2005, Everett became a golf enthusiast, until his health limited this ability to play.  Always straightforward and honest, his candour and sense of humour will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank the County of Simcoe Paramedic Services and the staff of the ICU department at RVH for their care and sensitivity. The family would also like to thank their Pastors, Captain Ian and Kam Robinson of the Salvation Army Church and the congregation for their remarkable support.

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
