It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Gloria Jacobson on October 2, 2025, at the age of 71.
Daughter of William and Christine Jelly. Beloved wife of William Jacobson for 50 wonderful years. Loving mother of Steven (Jenn) and Matthew (Ashley). Proud grandmother of Ryan, Riley, Reese, and Brooklyn. Loving sister of Laurie (Lou), Mike (Pat) and Jackie (Dave). Gloria is predeceased by her cherished daughter Shona, who was surely there to greet her in heaven.
Born on April 28, 1954, Gloria dedicated over 40 years of her life to nursing, caring for others with compassion and grace at Memorial Hospital, and The Walford Residence. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and commitment to helping others made her a source of comfort to everyone she met.
After retirement, Gloria’s heart belonged entirely to her family. She adored her grandchildren and lived each day for them. A natural caregiver, she gave endlessly of herself to her family and friends. Her warmth, generosity, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family would like to thank Dr L. Witton, Dr C. Johnson, and Dr L. Anderson. The family would also like to thank the Millcreek Care Centre staff for their compassionate care during Gloria’s stay.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
