It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jack, aged 82, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario, on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary, and his children: Ian, Mark and daughter in-law Joanne, along with his grandchildren: Ti, Meghan, Keegan and Erin. Jack is also dearly remembered by many friends and extended family in both England and Canada.
Born in Burnley, Lancashire, England, on February 6, 1943, Jack lived and worked in England until 1975, when he and his family made the life changing decision to emigrate to Barrie, Ontario. He had a life well lived.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Jack was a loyal supporter of Burnley Football Club and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was also an avid soccer player, proudly representing both Burnley United and Barrie City Soccer Clubs during his athletic years.
Jack touched the lives of all who knew him with his warmth, humor, and generous spirit. You will be truly missed by all.
A Celebration of Jack’s Life will take place on a later date.
