Jeffrey Karl Stengel, age 69, passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on October 19th, 2025, due to complications from Parkinson’s.
Born March 31, 1956, in San Rafael, California, he lived throughout the United States and Canada during his life until settling in the Barrie, Ontario area for the last 35 years. After graduating from Carlton University, Jeff spent his career working in sales. He enjoyed music, a great game of golf and watching the Toronto Blue Jays.
Jeff is survived by his son Gerald (Elenna) and daughter Danielle along with their mother, his former wife Monica Klages (née McIsaac). Jeff was a proud grandpa of Everley and Oliver. He is also survived by his brother Henry Stengel and sister Jennifer (Randall) Llewellyn. He will be sadly missed by his nieces Casey and Sarah Llewellyn and all of his extended family. Jeff was predeceased by his parents Henry and Ruth Stengel (née Johnson) of Matamoras, Pennsylvania.
Friends and family will miss Jeff’s great sense of humour. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and an ear to all in need.
In accordance with Jeff’s wishes, there will not be a celebration of life at this time. A family interment will take place at a later date.
