John Henry McCutcheon

Passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in his 91st year.  John was the beloved son of the late Dr. Wallace McCutcheon and Virginia (née DonCarlos), and the devoted husband of the late Diane (2023).

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Steven, Suzanne (Scott), Brian (Anna), and Kim (Tom).  Cherished grandfather of Alex (Kyle), Tory (Erik), Lucas, Karlee (Joe), and Joshua, and proud great-grandfather of Emmie, Charlie, Cru, and Adelyn.  Dear brother of Anne, Doug, Liz, Jean, and the late Peter.

John was a kind and gentle man who deeply valued time spent with his family.  He was a great ball player and curler well into his 80’s.  He enjoyed woodworking and stained-glass making.  John lived at Sandycove Acres for 30 years, where he formed many memories and friendships.  He was a long-time member and former president of the Sandycove woodshop.  John also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Private family arrangements.
