It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joshua Cordner Divall on July 2, 2023. Beloved son, proud father, and cherished brother, Joshua's departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He was the loving son of Mary and her husband Ken, and Mark and his wife Shelley. Joshua adored his beautiful daughter, Rowen, and his unwavering love for her knew no bounds. Loved brother of Madison. Cherished deeply by grandparents Ron and Susan Divall, and Ken and Edna Dixon. Loving nephew of Stephen, Kurt, Ron, Jake, Joanne, Bill, Cathy, Brad, Brian, Bill, Brian, and the late John. Will be sadly missed by many cousins and friends. His infectious smile and warm hugs will forever be remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Joshua had a zest for life that was evident in his passions. He found joy in golfing, fishing, skateboarding, and motorcycles, relishing every moment spent pursuing these activities. A true free spirit, he approached life fearlessly, never shying away from challenges.

His immense heart knew no boundaries when it came to showing love and kindness to others. Joshua had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and welcomed, offering his undivided attention and unwavering support. His friends and acquaintances speak of his politeness, well-mannered nature, and unwavering love.

While we mourn the loss of Joshua, we also celebrate his life. We invite you to join us in honoring his memory at a Celebration of Josh's Life on Sunday, July 16th, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. The gathering will be held at the Landings of Willow Creek Golf Course, located at 424 Penetanguishene Rd, Barrie.

Mark & Shelly: I just heard about this terrible tragedy. I am up at the cottage but want you both to know how very sorry we all are here to hear this sad news. Sincere sympathy is sent to you both. There is no loss no matter who it is that compares to the loss of a child. I am sure you heard David lost his oldest daughter 3 years ago. You will never get over it, but with time will learn to live with it, but give yourself time to grieve. David reminded me of some hunting stories when you were there Mark and how on your first time out you shot a deer. I am sure you have lots of great memories of times you and Josh spent together and when sadness overtakes you try to think of those memories. I know Shelly you have been a part of Josh’s life for a very long time so while dealing with your own grief will stand firm beside Mark. So sorry, God Bless you both, June
