Kooy, Katharine Jane, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27th, 2025, at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, at the age of 89 years.

Jane was born in England and spent her teenage years in South Africa.  After returning to the UK, she met John on a ski vacation in Tyrol.  They were married in England on December 28, 1963.  After 45 years in Toronto, they moved to Barrie where she became an active member of both the May Court Club and the Probus Club.

Cherished mother of John (Saskia) and Dave (Toni). Proud grandmother of Ayla.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Simcoe or the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre .

    John, I knew that Jane, in the last few years, was not in the best of health, but I had no idea that her illness had progressed to this final stage.
