Lambert Haliburton McCulloch

1946-06-27 - 2015-12-25

Funeral Details:

McCulloch; Lambert Haliburton, age 69 at RVH on December 25, 2016 from a very rare chordoma tumor.

Lambert was a kind man, full of life with a wonderful sense of humor. He kept people smiling with his optimistic attitude and remained positive through each year of his illness. He enjoyed being surrounded by nature, he was happy walking in the woods and marshes, taking photos of wildlife and playing his guitar.

The love he felt for his wife Elly, children Teresa (Len), Rick (Lisa) and grandchildren Bryanna and Joshua was immeasurable. The love and support from his siblings Jackie (Joan), Sharon (Al), Sylvia (Jack), Garry (Linda) and Sheila (Blarmino) was truly a blessing and comfort. He will be greatly missed by step son Chris (Wendy) and brother-in-law Kim.

He was a man well-loved and he loved well. I am so thankful for the 22 years Lambert has given me. Until we meet again.

Love you forever, Elly

Lambert’s wonderful spirit and positive attitude throughout his illness was truly inspirational.  His concerns for his best friend and beautiful wife, Elly was paramount in his life. Lambert loved all his family dearly, as they did him. He was my Rock. Our conversations were many….. speaking of growing up on the farm, playing his guitar and singing, cooking, taking pictures and loving wild life, and the great outdoors…. You could take the boy out of the Country , but you couldn’t take the Country out of the boy.  We will all miss you dearly, Lambert.  There is a huge void in our lives at this time.  However, Knowing that you are with our dear Mother, Gertie / Father, Homie and brother, Barry, we know you will be safe in the Lords Arms.  God Bless you , miss you and Love you forever.  Your sister, Sylvia, Jack and Christi York.  XOXOXO

Our deepest sympathies to Lambert’s wife and family. It’s been many years since I’ve seen him but he was always a kind and gentle soul; he should feel very much at home now too. My heart goes out to you all, not only in his death, but for the sorrow of seeing him in so much pain beforehand. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Elly…  to you and the family our heartfelt sympathies! Luckily we had the privilege to meet Lambert when you both visited some years ago. A kind man with a beautiful soul! Here is one of my favorite quote by a Christian writer !
“Peace, so often planted in the shadowed days of sorrow, grows slowly… and then blossoms in the sunshine of tomorrow.” -B.J. Hoff

    Rest in Peace Lambert

I had the pleasure of working with Lambert for eleven years.  There wasn’t a day go by that wasn’t filled with jokes and laughter.  He is, by far, the most memorable person I have ever worked with. I have missed him so much since then. I have also learned a hard lesson because of his death.  Working extra days to get ahead is worth nothing if you don’t spend time with the people you care about.  I had been trying to get over for a visit for so long but due to work obligations I was unable to.  Finally, on Boxing Day I went to send Elly a message to say I was finally coming on Sunday and learned Lambert had passed away just the day before.  So sorry for your loss Elly.

Our heartfelt codolances in the passing of our friend Lambert.  He was a man of simple pleasures.  Many an evening was spent with Lambert and Elly, relaxing on the deck, soaking up the sun with the bbq cooking, listening to tunes or the birds in the background often with Simon the cat sitting on his lap. He was a gentle, soulful man, and always ready for a good laugh. He will be sorely missed by his friends, may he rest in peace.
