Lawrence “Larry” Stroh passed away peacefully, with loved ones by his side, at his residence in Barrie, Ontario, on December 5, 2025, at the age of 79, following a recent decline in his health.
Born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, Larry lived most of his adult life in the Toronto area, especially in Mississauga and Oakville, alongside his beloved wife, Sharon, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage until her passing in 2022. He later moved to a retirement home in Barrie, where he lived his final years.
Larry was a lifelong car, travel, and auto racing enthusiast. Earlier in his life, he was active in motor racing and flying, and built a career in the airline and cruise ship industry, as well as in luxury car sales. Later, together with Sharon, he proudly owned and operated a cruise and travel business. Each of his life experiences allowed him to travel and visit destinations around the world countless times. Larry will be remembered as a man of integrity, loyalty, a friendly nature, and good humour.
In recent years, he faced significant health challenges with resilience and quiet strength. Much gratitude is expressed to the wonderful staff at Allandale Station, as well as to Dr. Poonja for ongoing care, compassion and support. Thank you.
To honour Larry’s wishes, there will be no funeral or Celebration of Life. Cremation has taken place.
We take comfort in knowing he is now free from pain, reunited with Sharon, and at peace. God bless you!
Rest in peace, Larry.

Posted on: Wednesday, December 10, 2025Larry was always a person that I could converse with over any problem or request that he needed. We had a very good relationship for all the years we were coworkers. I was privileged to know him, may he rest in peace.
