It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that Mark Smith, “aka BATMAN”, passed away on November 27, 2025. Mark was a Military Policeman in the Canadian Armed Forces, a retired Saint John City Police Officer, a Deputy in Louisianna and a reservist at base Borden. Mark’s career was spent protecting and in the service of others.
He will be remembered forever by his loving sons, Beau and Alexander and his daughter, his Princess, Brittany and his three grand children, Kaila, Trinity and Scarlett, as well as his devoted sister Colleen (Brian) and his nieces, Erin, Lindsay and Danielle.
Mark is now on his journey to meet his beloved sister, Arlene and their parents, Fred and Helen and his faithful canine companion, Copper. The family wishes to thank the loving care provided by Grove Park Home, the staff are all angels, caring deeply for their residents. A private cremation has taken place. A Mass will be held at a later date.
