Funeral Details: Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & Monday, March 23 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. With a prayer service at 6:00 pm on Monday, March 23, 2026. Visitations and Service will be taking place at Peaceful Transition Inc. York (#2 - 15236 Yonge St., Aurora, ON., L4G 1L9 - Yonge St. & Wellington St.) | Parking is available off Temperance Street directly behind the building.

Napoleon C. Alip, 84, passed away peacefully in Ontario, Canada, on March 13, 2026.

Born in Laguna, Philippines, he was the son of Mauricio and Albina Alip. Nap was a respected writer and public relations officer (PRO) in the Philippine media and entertainment industry for several decades. He wrote for newspapers including People’s Journal and People’s Tonight, and worked with prominent figures such as Amalia Fuentes, Nino Muhlach, Nida Blanca, Fernando Poe Jr., Bong Revilla Jr., and Herbert Bautista.

From 2006 to 2010, he served as President of the Movie Writers and Press Photographers Association of the Philippines (MOWPPAP). After moving to Canada, he continued writing for the Filipino community as a contributor to Balita.ca in Toronto.

Among his recognitions were the Dr. Jose R. Perez Memorial Award from FAMAS and Writer of the Year by Bulgar Publications.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mer Alip; daughters Myra Servito and Melinda Buno; sons Jadee Bal-ot and Frederick Licuanan; sons-in-law Arnold Servito and AJ Buno; daughter-in-law Marivic Licuanan; grandchildren Miguel Servito, Rhys Buno, Megan Licuanan, and Mark Licuanan; and his brother Roberto Alip.

Visitations and a Prayer Service will be held at Peaceful Transition in Aurora, Ontario (2-15236 Yonge St.). Parking is available behind the building off of Temperance Street.

Visitation:

Sunday, March 22 (4–8 p.m.)

Monday, March 23 (3–7 p.m.) | Prayer service at 6 p.m.

Private cremation to follow.

He found great joy in singing karaoke and sharing drinks with friends and family, moments filled with laughter, stories, and togetherness that will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his passion for writing and his dedication to the entertainment industry, and above all as a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather whose love for his family never wavered.
