Norman “Norm” Robert MacLeod, aged 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth-Ann, and their children: Gerry Greaves (wife Pauline), Sandra Anderson, Christine MacLeod, Heather Lucas, Marcy Gannon, and Grant Greaves (wife Meg). Norm will be greatly missed by his loyal dog, April, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Norm cherished his close relationships with his sisters, Helen Bonney and Sandra Lancaster (husband Glen), and his brother-in-law Bill McLean. He also held a special place in the hearts of his sister-in-law Vivian Shelswell (husband Dave). Norm was predeceased by his sister Isobel, brother Tom, brother-in-law Bob, mother Elizabeth and, father Merideth.

Norm and Ruth-Ann shared 45 years of companionship, and their blended families brought him immense joy. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was fishing, woodworking, or tinkering with various projects—often leaving behind extra parts after his “fixing” adventures. Norm’s warm heart touched everyone who knew him, and his absence leaves an indescribable sense of loss.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity and family and friends, both near and far, will forever miss the man affectionately known as “Papa.”

    We were saddened to learn of Norm’s passing. Unfortunately we are unable to attend the celebration of life today.
