Rex Jeffrey Glacer

September 21, 1956 - April 19, 2025

Funeral Details: A celebration of Rex's life will be held at a later date.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rex Jeffrey Glacer, at the age of 68, on April 19, 2025, at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital.

Born on September 21, 1956, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Rex was the beloved son of Gertrude Glacer (predeceased). A proud veteran, Rex served his country with honour and dedication as a Master Corporal in the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Rex is deeply missed by his loving wife Jackie Glacer, and his cherished children: Katrina Glacer (Andrew), Georgann Gilchrist (Colin), and Leslie Rodrigues (Alex). He was a devoted and proud grandfather to Ben, Nora and Zoey, and Alekai and Abriel—each of whom brought him immense joy.

Rex had a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and found his greatest peace on long solo rides, the wind in his hair, often en route to visit his best buddy, Bert. He also cherished travelling in the motorhome—a dream for his retirement years. His beloved dogs, Lulu and Lemon, were his two princesses, always by his side and deeply adored.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Emergency Department medical staff at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital for their compassion and care during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rex’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation https://www.heartandstroke.ca  or Beagle Rescue Ontario—two causes close to his heart.

Rex will be remembered for his strength, service, adventurous spirit, and the deep love he held for his family, friends, and furry companions.
