Robert Earl McCallum

Robert (Bob) Earl McCallum, 89 years of age, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Amica Retirement Community in Barrie Ontario on Sunday, May 6^th, 2018.

Born April 20^th, 1929 in Toronto. He moved to Guelph in his youth where he met his wife, Helen (nee Sands). He had an enjoyable 39-year career with Ontario Hydro. He retired from the Property unit of the Hydro Barrie Office on July 1^st, 1987.

Bob is survived by Helen his wife of 65 years, his children Ed (Robert Edwin) McCallum (Debbie), Douglas Allen McCallum (Catherine) and Cindy Vaillancourt (Dennis). Grandchildren Michael McCallum (Laura), Ryan McCallum (Joanne), Shawn McCallum (Alexandra), Lyndsey McCallum, Eric McCallum, Courtney Turney (Jonathan), Jared Vaillancourt and Nathan Vaillancourt. Great-Grandchildren Logan, Danika, Kaylyn, Karlie, Ava and Bennett.

Bob was preceded in death by his brother James Edwin (Dorothy) of Ottawa and sisters Audrey Voss (Bill) of Toronto, Merle Hawkins (Doug) of White Rock, B.C. and Verna (Susie) Smith (Ralph) of Guelph.

There will be a private family interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Guelph Ontario. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
