With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Roberta Lynn Moffitt, who left this world peacefully on November 21, 2025. Born on October 4, 1954, Roberta spent her early years in Willowdale before settling in Aurora, the community she cherished and called home for most of her life.

Roberta was the devoted and loving wife of Thomas (“Tom”) Lewis Allyn Moffitt for 50 years. Together they built a life rooted in love, loyalty, and deep family connection. She was a proud and caring mother to her daughter Lyndsy Erin Moffitt and her son Jordan Allyn Moffitt, and mother-in-law to Ruth Louise Eddolls who were the centre of her world.

She was the beloved daughter of Barbara Jean Darrah and Robert John Smith, and the treasured sister of Bill (Francee) Smith, Richard (Heather) Smith, Elizabeth (Alton) Bain, Jayne (Brian) Weddel, Lisa (Wayne) Summers, Andrew (Kathy) Smith, Norman Jr (Margaret) Darrach, Michael (Elizabeth) Darrach, and Susan MacPherson. Her large and loving family was one of her greatest blessings.

Roberta will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warmth, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She had a gift for making a house feel like a home—whether she was baking, cooking, tending to her garden, or gathering loved ones around the table. She also had a deep love for music and dancing, often filling her home, garage or driveway with laughter and joy whenever a favourite song played. Time spent with her family was her truest joy, and she created countless cherished memories through her kindness, humour, and quiet strength.

Professionally, Roberta dedicated many years to the York Region District School Board, where she worked as a Senior Buyer. She approached her work with diligence and integrity, earning the respect of her colleagues before retiring.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to honour her memory.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, strength and courage will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
