Sandra Joan McCuaig

Sandra Joan McCuaig (nee Hillier) passed away at RVRHC at the age of 63 on July 30, 2024.

Born in Sarnia, Ontario on April 7, 1961, she lived on farms all her life including Oro-Medonte, Shelburne and lastly, Springwater, with her sister Brenda (Eric), and her little dog Missy.  Sam, as she was affectionately known, was a great lover of animals, especially raccoons.  She was a champion for injured or abandoned animals and often nursed them back to health or added them to her own pet collection.

Sam is survived by her siblings Ronald Frank (Jesse) of Sarnia, Richard Thomas of Tillsonburg, Brenda Money (Eric Lee) of Springwater.  She is predeceased by her parents Harry Frank and Greta Mary Hillier, and her brother Robert George (Sheila).

Sam also leaves behind her nieces and nephews Michael, Joanne (Ron) and their children, Christina and Justin (Robert), Barry and Brandi and their daughter, Finity, and Kasey Brindley of Kincardine.

A private internment will take place at Barrie Union Cemetery at a later date.
