Funeral Details:

Hogg, Stella Mae

At the age of 93, Stella passed away suddenly on Wed. March 29, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Centre.  Wife of the late Wesley Charles Hogg.  Mother of Frank - deceased (Ruth), Larry (Joyce), Darlene (Joe) Cousins and Ken (Maryanne).  Grandmother of Brian (Natalie), Dwayne (Sharon), Tammy (Dan), David, Matthew, Tyler, Adam (Kaitlyn), Jamie (Chris), Aaron and Richmand.  Great Grandmother to Jordan, Ryan, Paisley, Owen, Wesley, Grace and Liam.  Dear sister to Millie, Marion, George (Jocelynne).  Sister-in-law to Tom Hodge.  Pre-deceased by her remaining siblings; Jean (Charlie), Irene (Wilf), Fred (Doreen) Hogg, Kate (Don), Evelyn, Bill and brothers-in-law Charles and Ab.

Stella lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.  She truly enjoyed attending reunions and hosting family holiday dinners.  The festivities were never complete without a game of cards.  Stella continued playing cards with the Barrie Seniors Clubs, where she used her creativity as a volunteer.  She made many friends and appreciated every one of them.  In her earlier days, Stella was an avid bingo player, she volunteered to serve meals for banquets at the Barrie Legion and she spent many hours 'pearlling plaids' for Burnetts & Struth Scottish Importers.

At Stella's request, cremation has been arranged by Peaceful Transition.  She will rest at the Barrie Union Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.  Donations in honour of Stella can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Centre.  The family would like to thank Dr. Bedard, RN Diane and RN Kerry in the Acute Care Unit, for their care of our dear Mother.
