Stephen Clifford George Davie, born on June 29, 1948, in Orillia, Ontario, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 76 at Royal Victoria Hospital. Stephen was known for his dynamic personality, his love of sharing ideas, and his willingness to engage with others on a wide range of topics. His eccentricity and broad interests made him a memorable personality of his community and family.
Stephen’s life was marked by his dedication to his family. He married Elaine Irene Winter, with whom he shared many happy years until her passing. Together, they raised a family in Oro township. Stephen’s legacy is carried on by his children, Jeremy, Joanna, and Jordan, who will hold fond memories for years to come. Stephen is also survived by his sister, Sharon Bowden and his seven grandchildren.
In his earlier years, Stephen was deeply involved in local Oro-Medonte politics, and hence was a familiar face in and around the community. He routinely engaged with those around him, often ready to lend a helping hand or offer thoughtful insights.
As we remember Stephen, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by great conversation and a relentless curiosity about the world. His absence will be deeply felt by all those who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
In Celebration of Stephen Davie's Life, a private family service will be held. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.

Posted on: Tuesday, June 10, 2025Jordan, Jeremy, Joanna. My family and I send our most sincere condolence’s. Over the last 20+ years I got to know your Dad very well. We became great friends. The one thing I can tell you for sure is the love he had for you and your Mom. Your Dad was such a story teller and we spent hours and hours talking on the phone. From his love of fishing to flying, politics (which he had a strong opinion about 🙂 and your incredible family roots we never ran out of things to talk about. He was so knowledgeable in many areas of life and gave me a lot of great advice that I hold very close to my heart. I will never forget your Dad and the time we shared and the projects we worked on. He will be greatly missed. May you find peace and strength at this most difficult time.

Our deepest condolensces, we are so sorry for your loss.
Stephen was larger than life and will be sorely missed. It was an honour and a pleasure to call him my cousin and I often think fondly of the time we spent together while growing up.
