Steven Bradley Glenn Appleby

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Steve on July 25^th, 2025, in his 60^th year.

Steven was the beloved son of the late Glenn and Leona Appleby.  Loving brother to Laurie, Ted (Cathie), Neil and Carolyn (Brent).  He was a cherished uncle to Meaghan, Brett, Jordan, Kevan, Daisy, Brittany and Nicole.  He was a doting great uncle to Elsa, Sadie, Stewart, Henry, Leo and Freya.

Steve was a kind and humble man with a gentle soul.

Steve’s happy place was in the natural world.  He was a staunch environmentalist and supporter of climate change initiatives.  An avid believer in homeopathic remedies and naturopathic therapies.

Steve loved to work with his hands.  Woodworking projects were a particularly favourite hobby; he worked in the building trade for many years.

Steve possessed a keen mind.  He was an amateur inventor creating designs, blueprints and projects (often related to the environment) in his spare time.

Steven was a devoted animal lover.  He spent many happy years with his Australian sheep dog, Bonzer.  He enjoyed caring for his flock of free-range laying hens.

Steve’s quiet, gentle presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends alike.

Cremation has taken place.  A private family service and Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.

To commemorate Steve’s memory, the family asks that you plant a tree.
