Condolences to my Aunt Sandra and family! I’m so very sorry for your loss!
When I was small Uncle Gordie always took time to spend with me. When I was about 4 years old, my Uncle Gordie sat me on his lap and we rode the farm tractor around the old farm. He always had that pleasant smile on his face. My fondest memory of my Uncle Gordie is was when I was about 10 years old, he use to take me to the stock car races. He loved cars. My Uncle Gordie taught me the make of every vehicle and I would name them at the age of 5. I was about 8 when my Uncle Gordie and I would play mechano at the McNabb Streethome in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I was 9 when my Uncle Gordie married my Aunt Sandra and I remember my Dad, my Uncle Gordie and I had our hair cut for the wedding and I was the only one that was scalped. When I was a line-haul-driver for Trans-X, I was honoured to show my Aunt Sandra and Uncle Gord the inside of my big rig that is like a mobile trailer on the inside. Uncle Gordie was part of my life growing up and i’ll never forget that he always made time for me no matter how busy he was. I cherish many memories of my Uncle Gordie and my Dad (his brother) that I will cherish forever; miss you both.
R.I.P. Uncle Gordie and please tell my Dad that I miss him and I shall see you both, but hopefully not for a long time.

Mike I just realized I could respond. It is so good to hear you have all those memories of Gord. One thing that attracted me to him at such a young age was how he was attracted to children and how they responded to him. He will always be remembered for his warm smile. So many people mention that to me. In all the pic’s we showed at his celebration through all his problems he always had a smile on his face. He was truly loved by many and especially me. Thanks for sharing.
