    John, Ultin, and Family

I am very sorry to hear about Al’s passing.

I will remember Al for his great sense of humor that made going to work each day a little more enjoyable. I also enjoyed his unique way of telling stories that kept many of us entertained for hours. I also remember how proud Al was about his family. During the 39 years that I knew him, he spoke about every success in John’s life, and more recently the stories about his grandchildren.

He will be missed by many. Rest in peace Al.

I only met Al thrice when flying from Massachusetts to teach him and his co-workers about my company’s products. This was around 1984-86. One time Al and Ultin even put me up in their home so I could avoid a hotel. They shared some unique Canadian cuisine with me and I sent them cases of New England Baked Beans and Brown Bread. Al introduced me to Barrie nightlife and taught me to appreciate good Canadian Ale. When we were together Al was like a best friend for that time. Memories will be with me forever.

Both Al and Ultin were great hosts. I’m sorry we didn’t stay in better touch. For some reason God put Al’s name in my head today after many years. I wish I could have been there. My best to Ultin and John,

    rod
