Alec will be remembered by us as a curling member of the Richmond Hill Curling Club. He saved our life taking about his sleep issues and Sleep Apnea machine for which we are grateful. He was a devoted husband to Patti. Our sincere condolences to you Patti and other family members. His life mattered very much to us.

    Pattie,
we are deeply sorry about Alec passing. Alec may no longer be here with us but we will always remember him with a book or his reading tablet. It is said that someone who reads lives a thousand lives. It might be true for him but for sure reading gave him a kind of freedom. A quote from Antoine de Saint Exupery that could suit him: “I know one freedom, and that is the freedom of mind”.

We remember also about the family reunions where he was not necessarily a big fan of, but was always in, and of course our amazing time together in South Africa. May these happy memories bring you comfort at this sad time.

Our heart and prayers go with you. Love you.

    Patty,

Teri, Danica and Grant are all very sorry for your loss. As his nephew I have very fond memories of my early days with you and Alec visiting the farm, our trip from the farm to Scarborough going to Canada’s wonderland with Nanny.

I’m also very thankful that Eryn and I were able to visit with him prior to his passing. He remained witty and sharp and true to form. It’s time for your Toronto family to pull you closer.

Get ready for more dance, baseball, basketball and cottage time.

    Love BRADY & family

I only recently learned of the passing of our cousin Alec, which made me sad.
Way back many decades ago, as a teenage summer excursion, Alec came to spend some time with his Uncle Ken’s family in Victoria.
I remember Alec’s droll sense of humour, which I suspect he retained throughout his life.
Sincere condolences to all the family.
    Margie-Anne
