Alexander “Alex” Zoltan Hajgato

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander Z. Hajgato of Barrie, Ontario, on September 10, 2026, at Markham Stouffville Hospital after a sudden short illness, at the age of 36 just shy of his 37^th birthday.  Alex was the beloved son of Julius and Helen Hajgato.

Always a computer geek from early childhood, he continued on in later years to Graduate from Georgian college as a Programmer Analyst, later continuing his education in Computer Science at McMaster University earning his degree.

Working in his field for large companies he eventually went on and started his own company as an independent contractor.

He enjoyed biking, scuba diving and hanging out with his friends and family.

Alex’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered, and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, his brother Stefan, sister Tanya, partner Jean Yang, and his young son Nick Yang Hajgato.
