Alison Claire Gamble

November 24, 1969 - October 15, 2020

Funeral Details:

GAMBLE, Alison Claire

November 24th, 1969 – October 15th 2020

Alison left us on Thursday, the 15th October 2020 at the age of 50 years, leaving a heartbroken family behind.  Alison was the most beautiful person to everyone that knew her and can never be replaced in our lives.  Alison was not only a great daughter, a wonderful mum and nanny, but also a perfect wife who will be missed so much by Sean, Mathew, Jakki, Samantha, Luna, and all her family in the UK.  Alison will never be forgotten, and our love will last a lifetime until we all meet again one day.

Your beautiful smile is forever etched in our hearts and you were taken from us far too soon and will take a lot of time for us to heal.  We all miss you so much, but you are at peace now and resting.

Please feel free to add any words you have for my beautiful Alison so we can keep them in our hearts.

Allison I remember your cheeky chops when we said goodbye to dermot. I remember when I basically first met you…. Was on my third shift with shaun and I remember the quote “my babes loves Pandora I took her up the mall to get her her charms” and when he told me about how he got you to come around to a party that only you two were invited too and told you everyone was turning up but wooops never arrived. Hehe. What a lovely lady you are and I and so many other will remember you. Sleep well you beautiful lady x x x x x x

I never had the pleasure of meeting Alison, but based on how her son Mat turned out and how kind he is in our group of friends, I can only assume she was a wonderful mother. My condolences to the family, I cannot imagine how this loss feels to you.

What can I say, but I’m going to miss you so so much, my beautiful sis-in-law who has been there for me when my beautiful wife passed away and now I can’t believe I’m writing this, you were so happy and bubbly, you always welcomed me into your home, always took time to listen to my troubles and help me out, I’m so sorry I could not get over to see you, I really tried and now I’m just left with memories (great ones) , like when we went to a Baseball game my first one! and I kept asking you the rules 😁 , I will miss you Ali,😢😢 I’ll try to keep my bro safe as I can for you, see you in the next world where ever that may be? RIP Alison 💕💕😘😘

Ok so I just learnt that one of my dearest friends, someone I think of as a brother lost his mother. Sean his father lost a wife and Jackie and Sammy also lost there mum.

Words can’t begin to express the true tragedy of this. It is just so unfair.

It’s easy to find words that express sorrow. So instead i’ll choose to remember something positive.

I used to go in and say hi to Alison when she was working At the tanning salon in Burnham. I remember one occasion we talked for nearly an hour. I was feeling pretty low and she did nothing but lift me up. Not just because I was Mat’s mate but because she actually cared! She had so much time for those she loved!

I want to thank her and Sean for raising Matty, a truly wonderful friend and man! Thank you for taking me on holiday and giving me so many great memories! Particularly Alison crying with laughter when I nearly drunkenly fell through the table!

Alison your family will miss you terribly! Not just because you were family. It was because you were truly worth loving.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all!

    Chris xxx

Alison was one of the playground supervisors at my first school- Burnham infants, a long 20 years ago. I was always very fond of Alison and she would be the first person I would look to go to during play time and if she wasn’t there I remember being sad because I missed her as she was my favourite. I also had the pleasure of growing up with Sammy and knew her sister Jakki also but not as well as I knew Sammy but I knew as a family they would always be there for love and support in my early years at school.
I was very saddened to hear that Alison was poorly when I first found out and now it is absolutely heartbreaking to hear about the loss of Alison.
I am thinking of all her family and send my love to them all.
    Rest in peace beautiful❤️

As a friend of Mat’s I only had the pleasure of meeting Alison once, but when I say pleasure I truly mean it. She’s was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever talked to, immediately took an interest in my life and talking about my wife. It was as though I’d known her forever.

She raised a wonderful son who I’m proud to call a close friend, and I feel privileged to have had the chance to meet her.

My condolences to the entire family, I can’t image what you’re going through.

We loved Alison’s smile and the sparkle in her eyes whenever we met in the neighbourhood. Her devotion to her fur babies, Suffy and Dexter, is a testament to her large and loving heart.
Alison, you have been taken from this life much too soon . . . and you will be remembered ‘forever young’ in the hearts of your loved ones. May your place of eternal rest bring peace
. . . as well as love and laughter as you join your loved ones who have gone before you. Rest easy ❤️
To Sean and family our deepest condolences.

Its heartbreaking to know that I would never get the chance to meet you but your thoughts live through your loved ones each and every time we speak. You are such a wonderful and kind woman, I’m so thankful that you knew me. I met Sammy on Xbox about 4 or 5 years ago and she is someone I consider a very dear friend. I remember you’d come in and say goodnight to Sammy when you were off to bed and I chimed in on the headset “g’night mum!”

Sam passed word to you and you didn’t leave me hanging. “Goodnight Dustin.” you happily said. Little did you know that this would become a regular occurrence for years. So regular in fact, that I’d give Sam a hard time for not relaying my goodnight wishes to you sometimes.

My heart aches that I never got to meet you personally. It aches knowing that your family misses you terribly and it aches knowing you won’t be swinging by to wish us goodnight.

But you’ll live on in our thoughts and our hearts. You’ll live on in Sammy as she holds little Luna in her arms watching her drift to sleep. You’ll live on in your family’s dreams and most precious memories. You’ll live on in something as simple as wishing someone goodnight.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your life, no matter how small it may have seemed. Thank you for the kindness and thank you & Sean for raising someone as awesome as Sam. Although I never met either of you I know you both shimmer in the person that she is today.

Goodnight mum. Sweet dreams and we’ll talk to you soon.

    My dear Alison,

I still cannot believe that you have been taken from us and that I will never see you again.

The tears I wipe away as I reflect….the inevitable regrets….things I could have said and done but you were not supposed to go before me. No one knew this was going to happen – why oh why ?? You had so much to live for.

I was not able to be there at the end to say a final farewell and give you a kiss but I know Sean did so for me.

I think of your childhood days; meeting your soulmate Sean; your Wedding day ; the family; your move to Canada and the day, just weeks ago, when you became a proud Grandma. All memories for me to treasure.

Rest in peace my beautiful daughter – you will always be with me in spirit.

Your heartbroken Dad and Carol xxx

Alison you were not only my daughter but my best friend. It has been a traumatic few weeks but I know you are now at peace. This is not the way it should be. I should have gone ahead and waited for you but fate has intervened and now you must wait for me. I know one day we will meet again until then just know I love you and miss you so much.

    Dear Alison,
When moving into our new home, we were hopeful we would get lucky and have some great neighbours….and we really lucked out with you and Sean! Being a stay at home mommy, we spent a lot of time outside this summer in the backyard. We would really get a kick out of listening to you try and get Dexter and Enzo to behave ! Haha especially in that fantastic accent ! On one occasion you would shout at the dog “your such a toad”, and now I find myself calling my daughter that when she is being silly! I wish we had the opportunity to get to know you better. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
    Your neighbours,
    Amy, Mike, Ella and Charley

Dearest Alison, words cannot express the loss I feel. You’ve been a wonderful friend to me ever since infant school, I’ve know you most of my life. You always made me laugh, showed me how to be strong, supported me through some rough times and always had my back. You were such a loyal friend, wife and mother. Somebody to look up to, I was proud to call you my friend. I love you and will always carry a part of you in my heart. 💔 I will never forget you, rest well beautiful girl.

    Farewell my friend, you’re leaving.
It’s time for you to go.
    Your friendship was a blessing,
And I will miss you so.
    We shared so many secrets.
    You brightened up my days.
You brought me so much happiness
With your kind and loving ways.
    You lifted up my spirits
    When I was feeling blue.
    No matter what was happening,
You knew just what to do.
    We ran between the raindrops
    And walked beneath the sun,
    Ran barefoot in the summertime,
And oh, we had such fun.
Through all the ups and downs of life
The good times and the sad,
From Gordano Comp days to golden years,
The best friend I ever had.
The Angels are here to take you home.
Now you and I must part.
    I love you, and forever
You will live within my heart.

Although I did not know Alison very well (I’m the quiet neighbour), I can attest to the comments written. Alison was a gentle, kind and absolutely lovely person and I have no doubt that she will be greatly missed. When I first purchased my home next to theirs, they would often be outside in their backyard, enjoying the weather, gardening and each other. Their love for each other was evident even across the fence.

Sean I wish you much courage during this very challenging time and hope you can find comfort in knowing that you and she shared what many of us can only hope to find in our lifetime – a true lasting love. Although very difficult, I urge you to share your stories and memories of your times together for when you do so, you keep your loved one alive. My thoughts are with you and your family … Liliane
